Yes, StarDrop allows for custom integration with any such database or data source via our built-in Python scripting API, which allows for any data set to be imported into StarDrop from any such data source so long as it’s possible for a Python script to interact with said data source. You may either choose to create your own Python plug-in script or inquire about any Python scripts that might already exist.

For documentation on StarDrop’s Python Scripting API, please download the StarDrop Scripting and Customisation Guide PDF from the appropriate link on the StarDrop Installers web page, or feel free to ask our support staff at support@optibrium.com for a copy.

We also have several Python plug-in scripts available for download that can import data sets from several web services, such as Molport, Enamine, eMolecules, and a few others (browse here for a full list of our custom scripts). You may also be interested in the Query Interface, another custom script we have on offer which is especially designed to import data sets from data sources such as SQL tables, flat files (.csv, .sdf, .txt, etc.), internally maintained web services, and other database types.

To learn more about the Query Interface, please contact us at support@optibrium.com.
