At Optibrium, we’re passionate about developing cutting-edge computational methods that solve some of the most pressing challenges in drug discovery, while making our software accessible to experimental scientists through a highly intuitive and visual user experience. However, this doesn’t mean that we leave you to figure things out on your own.

When you choose our software, you get access to our team of dedicated Application Scientists at no extra cost. They have over 50 years of combined medicinal chemistry experience, and they work with you from your initial demo right through your licence period to understand your challenges and help you reach your goals.

We want you to get the most from our software and feel confident using it from the start. Here’s what training and support you can expect.

Set up for success with hands-on training sessions

We start with dedicated training sessions where you and your team get introduced to StarDrop through demonstrations and interactive examples. We tailor these sessions to your needs, using examples that relate to your actual data and challenges rather than generic demos.

These sessions are designed to be interactive, and we encourage you to ask questions and tell us what you want to achieve. Depending on your requirements, you can have them during your two-week evaluation or after you’ve purchased the software, and they can be done virtually or in person.

If you choose to boost StarDrop’s capabilities with any of our additional modules for in silico modelling, generative chemistry or 3D design and visualisation, we’ll provide additional training sessions for those too to ensure you have a good understanding of how to navigate and use them for your work.

We ask for feedback after training sessions through a quick survey to make sure we’re providing useful, engaging training in the right format.

Learn at your own pace with our online training library

You can access our library of video tutorials at any time. Each tutorial includes a narrated video, step-by-step guide, and a downloadable project file so you can follow along at your own pace.

The tutorials cover everything from basic functions to specific modules. If you’re already experienced with the software, these exercises are useful for discovering new features and advanced tips.

You can boost your learning with our other helpful online resources:

  • Quick tip videos: Get new insights into key StarDrop features, in just a few minutes or less.
  • First Steps with StarDrop guide: For new StarDrop users, this guide covers the basics, and includes detailed documentation designed to cover all the aspects of our software.
  • On-demand webinars: Typically featuring a scientist from Optibrium with an in-depth understanding of new tools or features, often with invited guests. These include presentations from our collaborators and customers, showcasing real-world applications and examples.
  • FAQs: Answers to frequently asked questions.

Count on us for responsive, ongoing support

If you have any questions as you explore and use our software, we’re just an email away. Our Application Science team monitors a dedicated mailbox, and their understanding of both the software and your science means they can provide meaningful responses to queries typically within a few hours. For more in-depth queries, we can set up a virtual call with your team when needed.

To submit a support request, simply use this form or send us an email at support@optibrium.com.

A personal touch: Regular visits and check-ins

We offer regular visits and check-ins, which can be online or in-person whenever possible. These are an opportunity for our team to better understand how you’re getting on, update you on new features and get feedback directly from you.

Summary

When you choose Optibrium, you’re not only licensing software but gaining a partner. We work with you, providing access to comprehensive training and responsive support throughout your lifetime of your license, at no extra cost.
