RSC-BMCS 3rd Conformational Design in Drug Discovery

This RSC-BMCS event aims at building a community that shares conformational design strategies, technologies, and successful case studies. It will complement other rational drug design events and promote more successful research into future medicines.

This symposium will provide great learnings for medicinal chemists, computational chemists, structural biologists, biophysicists and NMR analytical chemists with an academic or industry interest in drug discovery. Prior knowledge in conformational design will not be required.

Himani Tandon, PhD

Principal Scientist

Himani holds a Ph.D. in Computational Structural Biology and Bioinformatics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and completed her postdoctoral research at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK. Her work focuses on applying both 3D structure-based and ligand-based design strategies for lead discovery and optimisation. She also applies AI and machine learning techniques to model the properties of potential drug candidates, including both small molecules and peptides. 

Lauren Hartley

Account Manager

Lauren brings over a decade of experience in customer engagement, account management and business development to her role at Optibrium. 

Before joining Optibrium, Lauren held commercial roles at Oracle and Cytel, where she partnered with healthcare organisations, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies to deliver tech & software solutions. She also gained extensive experience in the CRO sector with Quanticate, supporting global pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients across Europe and beyond. 

At Optibrium, Lauren is dedicated to building trusted relationships with customers, ensuring their continued success, and helping them to maximise the value of Optibrium’s software in accelerating drug discovery. With a strong background spanning clinical research, and enterprise technology, she combines commercial expertise with a genuine passion for supporting scientific innovation.
