Michael Parker, PhD

Principal AI Scientist

Michael obtained his PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Cambridge, researching X-ray emission from accreting black holes. Prior to Optibrium, he held previous postdoctoral positions at the University of Cambridge, UK, and a research fellowship at the European Space Agency, all focused on the use and development of data science tools to analyse complex noisy datasets. He now leads much of Optibrium’s research in generative chemistry and AI methods.

Daniel Barr, PhD

Senior Application Scientist

Daniel applies his expertise in computational chemistry and statistics to support advancements in medicinal chemistry. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Arizona State University and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the Barrett Honors College. He has held Associate Professor positions at both Utica University and the University of Mary, North Dakota, before joining the Optibrium team. With a passion for utilising data effectively and accounting for measurement uncertainty, Daniel fosters meaningful insights to drive innovation in drug discovery.
