Hi,
I'd like to import primary HTS data into stardrop. Is there a limitation to the number of molecule entries that stardrop can handle ?
Thanks,
Joel

Dear Joel,

Thanks for your question and apologies for not getting back to you earlier. Unfortunately we missed your post in our online forum during the busy lead up to the holidays. You are very welcome to contact us directly at stardrop-support@optibrium.com.

There is no absolute limitation to the number of molecule entries you can import in StarDrop, but it will depend on the memory available on your machine. This will also depend on the number of columns of data associated with each compound.

In general, with a small number of columns, it should be possible to load hundreds of thousands of compounds on a well-specified computer. Please note that some features, such as Card View, and computationally intensive algorithms such as clustering will run very slowly on such a large data set and are probably not tractable.

I hope this helps and apologies again for this late reply. If you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at stardrop-support@optibrium.com.

Alessia
